In 2015, I was introduced to UX research and design through a school project called BlindNavi.
As I was researching, I learned about the challenges that visually impaired people faced everyday. As a result, we designed an app to improve their navigation experience.
After the product launched, one of the users told us, “This is the product I’ve always wanted. It makes me feel safe and more independent.” That was a pivotal moment for me. It revealed the power of combining technology and design to create meaningful impact, and it inspired me to pursue a career in product design.
